Colin Scholes and the Village Chief cut the first turf in the preparation for a three-classroom school building, watched by Bright, Rena Scholes, and trustees and other dignitaries. Then workmen began to measure the site and mark out the new building so that the foundations can be laid, using the blocks which were delivered during Colin and Rena’s visit in May 2010.
Now it is a case of raising the funds for the building itself and they organising the staffing and opening of the primary school. It will provide education for those poor families who are unable to afford the fees to send their children to schools in the area. The primary school will provide a basic education and lead children on to the local High School (pictured below) which Colin and Rena visited.
