Bright Amamkwa

The International Director, Joseph Bright Amankwa was born in 1968. Although he currently lives in the United Kingdom, he was born and brought up in Accra, Ghana.

He has always had spiritual input in his life through his local church, and in 1987 he made a commitment to Jesus Christ.

For a number of years Bright was a school teacher in Accra and, seeing the influence that education could have on the lives of children, God laid on his heart a vision to set up a Christian School in Ghana which led to the purchase of land in an area which is in great need of such provision.

In 1999 Bright left Ghana to come and study at bible School in Britain. After spending one year at Capernwray Bible School he moved onto Mattersey Hall Bible College. There he studied for a BTh (Hons), graduating in the summer of 2003, and subsequently obtained an MA in Theology. Bright works as a pastor with an Assemblies of God Church in Lanarkshire, Scotland, and continues to expand his role as International Director by trammeling extensively to study the organisation and development of Christian schools worldwide.
