Welcome to Nehemiah Global Ministries

THE GHANA COMMUNITY PROJECT

The Ghana Community Project is the vision of our International Director Joseph Bright Amankwa. Having taught in Ghana and seeing the influence that education could have on the lives of children, God laid on Bright’s heart a vision to set up a Christian School in Ghana.

In October 1999, he came to Capernwray Bible School in Carnforth.  It was during and as part of his studies there that he was attached to the Mount Zion Independent Methodist Church. As divine providence will have it, he stayed in the home of Mr. Colin Scholes, a retired headteacher.  After sharing the vision of the school in Ghana with Mr. Scholes and his Church, they decided to assist him to fulfill it.

After Bright’s one year Bible Course in Capernwray, the door was opened for him to further his education at Mattersey Hall. He did a three year Bachelor of Theology Course there and graduated, with honours, on June 28th 2003.  He was immediately enrolled on the Master of Theology Course at the same institution. He believes that the vision that God has given him and the needs of the world is such that he must be educated to the highest level possible.

The advancement in science and technology in the so-called post modern world demands that the servants of God be properly equipped and be abreast with the time. This will make the Church more relevant to contemporary society.  To this end, he is devoting himself to every preparation necessary to make him a success in the will and plan of God. Even though the vision starts with a school in Ghana, it does not end there. It is something that will encompass the whole world. This website provides an insight into the various components of the vision.

Our primary objective in whatever we do is to affect and bring a positive change to the lives of not only individuals but also entire communities.
